Missing Stray......

Boxers look depressed at the best of times. Here is a Boxer who is missing her mummy.

Now tell me you don't feel just a bit sad?

Oh she's so beautiful - even when she's sad.

Have you tried therapy, Ms M? In the short term it might help Ruby.

Hi there jj - would that be therapy for me, or for Ruby??? I gave Roo half of my steak last night - amazingly she cheered up considerably. We concluded that food is better than Stray. Please don't tell her!

Hi again agwb I am guessing you came via the black box? Stray is the genius woman who invented and built it for Caroline - she is part human, part geek and very, very lovely and missable. (She also happens to be my girlfriend.) Ruby is her darling dog. Badger lives with us too, and she has Tourette Syndrome and Aspergers. Oh, and I have a 13 yr old son who also lives here! Is that clearer now?!

You have made me think though that we may need to introduce our family for new visitors. We are a strange little family but we get by :)

Hey trousers, I know! I am actually allergic to her, but even I want to cuddle her when she looks like that. Adorable.

Darling Stray - wonderful as it is to see you here, 8.50 am GMT makes it 3.50 am in Boston, MA so what on earth are you doing blogging?? Explanations, please!

Ms Mmmm, it's hard being a step mum to a beautiful doggy. I bet you have competitions to see who looks like they are missing Stray more. Poor things, she's been away for ages and ages. I bet you are going to have a lovely tea tomorrow when she gets back.

Hey lovely Cas, imagine what it is like living with that face! We are all on the gin this weekend.

Hi there kahless, you are right, she is very cute. It's the only way she gets fed when Stray is away, so she really has to work on the whole big puppy eyes thing.

Hey jj, I guessed! She has had steak, cuddles and walks which is pretty much all she needs. Oh, and a duvet to sleep under. And a cushion...and blanket.....

Hi av, misery indeed! She misses her mummy almost as much as I do. By the way, in response to your comment on the black boxes post, I am sure that Stray would be more than pleased to work with you when you are ready to start marketing your own stuff. Email on the home page xxx

Hey there Misssy M, you are so right, and Boxers are expert at working the whole sentimental thing. Fortunately I have had more than my fair share of therapy so I can negotiate with the guilt gene. It's the existential angst that still gets me.

Hi lovely Hulla, we are really not having a competition. No, not at all. ( I am definitely missing Stray the most, and have all of my chins out.) We will have a lovely tea indeed, and it may indeed even involve candles. (Thanks for the tip, by the way x)

Hope to see you both soon x
