And then... I could do it.

I have this habit of whenever I start a new project of having a little panic where I remember that I have no clue what I am doing and I am actually really a bit rubbish.... but then I pull myself together and as if by magic it all comes together and I realise I really am cleverer than I think I am.

So you will understand that when I started illustrating the Climate Change book I obviously went through the same process, but today I have drawn these and I look at them and I can not believe I drew them.. but I did.

So maybe I really am an Illustrator, I wanted to be an illustrator when I was 7 years old. And wowzers just maybe I really am!

They are absolutely gorgeous illustrations, the creatures are full of personality. I don't think there's any doubt at all that you could be an illustrator if you wished.

They look like illustrations to me.

Touching, funny, gentle illustrations.

They surely must of been illustrated by an illustrator.

I think the logic is patently overwhelming,

You look like an illustrator to me. And maybe it's something about the creative process because I go through a very similar set of feelings when I start work on a writing project.

Oh they're just fantastic - all of them, but especially the sheep. I agree with what others have said above, and particularly what Queenie says about the creative process.

these are amazing. you can totally do it, if that's what you want to do.

I think the point is, Badger, that you need to recognise that it's not just "you can do it if you want to" .. but "actually you're already doing it" !

You've also done some wonderful illustrations for the triangle book. Fab stuff :)

I am caught between loving the penguins and loving the sheep. I think the sheep have it though, but it's only because of their extra funky legs.

Excellent work m'dear. As Stray says, you are doing it already.

Love the illustrations! Beautiful. I always have that feeling that someone is going to leap out and say, "Aha! Found you out at last! We all know you're a bit rubbish really!"
