SAS Cat

Frank is back on mousing duty... it has become clear that he is in training for some sort of serous cat mission.

He will not lay on a comfy cushion for any longer than a 10 minute stint without removing himself and spending twice as long laying on the cold ground or a rough service.

I have been gathering photographc evidence of Frank in training as you will see from the below shots....

Shot 1: Stealth position, the most uncomfortable spot in the lounge, a huge sofa and 2 dog beds to choose from but no... he goes for the over filled magazine rack.

Shot 2: Laying 'next to' his bed on the hard wood. His bed on this occasion being my old orange fleece. It is old and no longer worn by me because it is orange with red paw prints, need I say more.

.... finally Shot 3: I spotted this orange spot in the distance out the back of the house way up smack bang in the middle of the field, with no protection from the elements at all... and I must add here that it was freezing cold. Upon retrieving the binoculars I saw that it was indeed Frank doing more stealth hard core training.

Lets hope he catches alot of mice and all that hard boy training pays off!

I think you're wrong. I don't think Frank is in some sort of cat commando training programme, the meowww marines.

Rather, the evidence is clear. His rejection of decadent comfort. His commitment to duty. His service to the community. Clearly, Frank has got religion.

Except to see cat disapproving glances at any fun or riotous or lewd behaviour. Inexplicable gettings up in the middle of the night. And a vague air that you are being pitied for your sins.

Brilliant! I can picture him dressed in black like the Milk Tray Man.

Great post, badger, you are so funny.

However, I am still reeling from the fashion crime of purchasing an orange fleece with red paw prints -oh my giddy aunt! That just sounds like classic pet rescue wear or a Sunday mail supplement purchase too far. It does look cosy though, despite the high style cost of the warmth.

No wonder the poor cat has taken up religion. He is probably just trying to avoid hurting your feelings.

Ginger toms are the kings of cats. There is just something so feisty about them.

My old boy (not a ginge, btw, but a black and white beast of gorgeousness) of 17 of age died last week and I have been warned not to go tom cat adopting (we already have two kitty ladies and a dog to help us get over the loss) but if I were to ignore the warnings, it would be a ginger boy I'd be looking for.

Somebody stop me...

Frank. You're my hero. I would renounce my hammock, but I'm afraid my humans have put catnip in there and I just... can't.... resist....

I will have to do time in the snow as penance for my decadence

bobo - hmmm religion...nah... I prefer the Meowww Marines! That rocks! He does swim too, when he was a kitten, he went swimming in next doors pond and brought home a Koi. Which he kindly left in my bath.

Trews - Oh yes, I bet all the other cats love him, wallaby cat is deeply in love with frank she sniffs his bottom when he comes home from a long stint out.

Comment deleted - No I dont want to buy your sofa. Take your spam else where.

Hullaballoo - yes it was indeed a fashion crime, however i did not buy it, my old employer made us where them at Crufts - urgh!! Maybe your right though, maybe he hates it and is too afraid to tell me. It does clash with his fur thats for sure.

UHDD - haha, bless your poor cat must have been so embarassed!

Missy M - I am sorry your poor cat died :( Gingers are the best though. :)

Carsberg - You really should try and quit the drugs those humans are giving you. You will get fat and go mad. Get outside and have some exercise. Maybe Frank could be your personal trainer?

OMG! I have actually sat across the table from a woman who has worn paw prints at Crufts {shudder}. I am guessing that was to enable the doggies to feel more of an affinity towards you and be prepared to open up for incisive journalistic questionning?

Either that, or you were part of the Crufts papparazzi, hairing about capturing compromising shots through your trusty wide angle lens.

The Mouse Police never sleeps as they say! Our cat is getting a bit too fond of the warm stove, I reckon! Does Frank do boot camps for other cats?
