Is it possible my liking for Badgers is bordering on obsessive.... ?

I think in Marketing terms, you're just establishing a clear Brand Identity … so we can tell you apart from the other fake Badger-wannabes out there.

So it's a good thing.

I knew an eccentric peer [Lord Arran] who piloted a bill through parliament for the protection of badgers. He had a pet badger, and when you visited him this large animal lumbered around the room snuffling at your ankles. It made me distinctly nervous!

Once I nearly leaped across the room when, having lunch side by side with him in a Soho restaurant, he pulled up his trouser leg and said: "Look at my ringworm. I got it off the badger!"

So with the best will in the world, I have mixed feelings.....

WOW! A pet Badger, that is so very cool. One of the local farmers is buying me a Badger Face sheep which is fab.

Oh I didn't intend to put ideas into your head! If you did manage to semi-tame a pet badger, it would still have an uncertain temper. The real-life ones aren't at all like the dear old gentleman in "The Wind in the Willows", you know.
